At Bay Area Endoscopy Center we are proud to provide every patient under our care with a state-of-the-art surgery center equipped with the latest and best endoscopy equipment and related medical services.
Our staff works hard to maintain a physical environment conducive to the provision of safe, efficient care and ensure that safe and effective equipment and supplies are available for use by the Center’s physicians. We are committed to always pursue quality assurance and quality improvements.
As a part of our community, we serve all persons in need of primary medical care and related services, regardless of age, color, race, creed, national origin, religion, sex, marital status, disability, payer source, or any other personal characteristic or qualification, including the ability to pay.
To maintain those standards, we concentrate on serving residents of our approved service population, which have a documented unmet need, and which originally led the Center to submit its Certificate of Need application. Bay Area Endoscopy Center attempts to make patients in our service population aware of our services and encourages the use of those services.
In addition, we provide charity care to uninsured persons and persons without the ability to pay the entire charge for services. The Center develops, maintains and updates, as necessary, our policy and procedure for serving uninsured persons and persons without the ability to pay the entire charge. We also develop, maintain and update a sliding fee scale considerate of the means of such persons, for use in such cases.
Lastly, we promote the accessibility of our services for all persons in need of these services, with particular emphasis on improving access for traditionally under-served populations, including ethnic minorities and persons of low-income status. Our Center operates at times that promote accessibility, attempts to provide culturally sensitive services, including services that assist individuals to overcome physical and language barriers, and encourages patients to freely offer opinions regarding how accessibility and service can be improved.
